Use & Application
Food grade citric acid anhydrous is widely used in food and beverage production, especially preferred for low-moisture formulations. It acts as acidulant, flavor modifier and metal chelator in powdered drinks, dry mixes, confectionery, bakery products and seasoning powders. It avoids moisture introduction, prevents caking and helps extend shelf life of dry food systems.
USP/BP grade citric acid anhydrous complies with United States Pharmacopeia monograph and British Pharmacopoeia standards for EU and UK pharmaceutical markets. It serves as pharmaceutical excipient for US market formulations, commonly used in effervescent tablets, powder blends, oral suspensions and topical preparations. It functions as pH adjuster, solubilizing agent and chelating agent, with strict impurity control to meet US pharmaceutical GMP requirements.
