Basic Information
1,2‑Propanediol diacetate is a high‑boiling, low‑toxicity ether‑ester solvent. It is colourless liquid with mild ester odour. It possesses good dissolving capacity for resins, polymers and coatings. Widely used as high‑boiling solvent for water‑based and solvent‑borne coatings, printing inks and cleaning formulations.

Coating solvent: High‑boiling coalescing solvent for water‑borne coatings, baking paints, industrial finishes; improves film‑forming property, levelling and gloss.

Organic synthesis: Reaction medium and chemical intermediate.
