3. Key Properties
Oligomeric ethoxysiloxane mixture, higher silica content than monomer TEOS‑28.
Sol‑gel precursor, hydrolyse‑condense to form continuous silica film upon contact with moisture.
Excellent binding strength for inorganic fillers, pigments, metal surfaces.
Lower ethanol release per unit silica compared to TEOS monomer.
4. Main Applications
Zinc‑rich anti‑corrosive paint: Main binder for inorganic zinc‑rich coating (largest application)
Precision investment‑casting: ceramic shell binder
Sol‑gel raw‑material: silica film, hard coating, stone consolidant for building & cultural relic protection
Cross‑linking agent for silicone, surface treatment for glass, metal and inorganic powder
Heat‑resistant coating, inorganic coating raw‑material
5. Storage & Shelf‑Life
Storage: Hermetically sealed, cool dry well‑ventilated warehouse, temperature 5‑30 ℃. Strictly prevent moisture ingress, keep away from flame, heat source, acids, alkalis and oxidants.
Shelf‑life: 12 months for unopened original drum.
Standard export packing: 200 kg steel drum; 1000 L IBC tote tank.
6. Handling & Safety Notes
Flammable liquid; vapour can form explosive mixture with air.
Irritant to eyes, skin and respiratory tract. Wear chemical goggles, resistant gloves, organic vapour respirator.
Avoid any water entering storage containers to prevent premature hydrolysis & gelation.
In case eye/skin contact, rinse with plenty running water for minimum 15 min.
