Primary frothing agent for mineral flotation processing (copper, zinc, gold-silver ore flotation).
High-boiling solvent for coatings, printing inks, paint thinners and metal-working fluids.

Used as oil-soluble emulsifier component and blending solvent for industrial cleaning formulations.
