4. Applications
Plasticizer: For cellulose acetate, nitrocellulose and nitrile rubber. Offers good film‑forming, adhesion and water‑resistance properties. Frequently blended with other plasticizers to improve low‑temperature performance, reduce volatility and prevent low‑temperature crystallization.
Solvent: Used in fluorocarbon coatings, peroxide formulations and pesticide formulations.
Insect repellent raw material: Basic component for mosquito‑repellent oils.
Organic synthesis intermediate; gas‑chromatography stationary liquid.
Note: DMP is a phthalate ester. Regulatory restrictions apply for consumer articles in some regions. Not intended for food‑contact materials.
5. Packaging, Storage & Transportation
- Packaging: 200 L steel drum, net weight 230 kg/drum;
- Storage: Keep container tightly closed. Store in cool, well‑ventilated warehouse. Keep away from heat, open flame and direct sunlight. Separate from strong oxidants.
- Transport: Classified as combustible liquid. Prevent leakage, rain exposure and sun irradiation. UN 3082, Class 9 miscellaneous dangerous goods.
