Feed grade 2-Methyl-1,4-naphthoquinone serves as vitamin K3 source for animal feed premix. It promotes blood clotting function of livestock, poultry and aquatic animals, prevents hemorrhage disease and improves bone health. It is commonly formulated into feed additive premix, and can be converted into water-soluble menadione sodium bisulfite derivative for feed application.
USP / Pharma grade 2-Methyl-1,4-naphthoquinone is used as pharmaceutical intermediate and biochemical research reagent. It acts as precursor for vitamin K related active ingredients, and used in lab redox reaction studies, cell culture and biological mechanism research.
