Use & Application
AIBN is a classic oil-soluble free radical initiator for polymerization and copolymerization. It is commonly used in production of polystyrene, polyacrylic resin, polyacrylonitrile, PVC and synthetic rubber. Nitrogen gas is generated during its thermal decomposition, so it can also be applied as foaming agent for plastics and rubber. It is also used in academic lab for free radical reaction research. Its decomposition products are toxic, so it cannot be used for food-contact or medical packaging polymer materials.

Delivery & Storage
Keep container tightly sealed. Store in cool, dry and well ventilated warehouse. Keep away from direct sunlight, heat sources and high temperature. Store separately from oxidants, acids, alkalis and combustible materials. Transport as IMDG Class 4.1 UN3234 self-reactive solid. Avoid heavy collision and high temperature exposure during transportation.
