Fragrance grade 4-tert-Butylcyclohexanol serves as the primary raw material for 4-tert-butylcyclohexyl acetate, a popular woody perfume ingredient. It is applied in soap, detergent, personal care and household fragrance formulas, effectively preventing color discoloration of patchouli oil blends. It can be directly added into fragrance compositions to deliver warm woody and amber notes.
Fine chemical grade 4-tert-Butylcyclohexanol is used as organic synthesis intermediate for selective oxidation reactions and pharmaceutical intermediate manufacturing. Its cis and trans isomers show different reaction selectivity for stereochemistry synthesis research.
Industrial grade is applied in synthesis of plastic additives, lubricant additives and other cyclohexane derivative products.
