Use & Application
Industrial grade 1,3-Dioxolane acts as polar aprotic solvent and comonomer for polyoxymethylene (POM). It is copolymerized with trioxane to modify POM resin, improving polymer toughness and processing performance. It also serves as extraction solvent for oils, waxes, dyes and cellulose derivatives in fine chemical production, and used for coating and adhesive formulation.
Electronic grade 1,3-Dioxolane is specially purified for lithium battery electrolyte industry. It works as co-solvent in lithium-ion and lithium metal battery electrolyte systems, helping improve ionic conductivity and stabilize SEI film. Strict control of moisture, acid and metal impurities minimizes side reactions inside cells, suitable for high-performance battery manufacturing.
