Dioxazoline is an important organic reaction intermediate. A compound containing two five-membered heterocycles with carbon, nitrogen, oxygen and carbon-nitrogen double bonds. Because of its chemical properties, it can interact with carboxyl groups, acid anhydrides, amino groups, epoxy groups, thiol groups, phenolic hydroxyl groups, and isopropyl groups at a certain temperature. Cyanate and others undergo a ring-opening reaction, so bisoxazoline is often used as a chain extender or crosslinking agent for polymers.
