Use & Application
Cosmetic grade triclosan is used as antimicrobial agent in rinse-off personal cleansing products, including antibacterial soap, body wash, hand sanitizer, facial cleanser and anti-acne skincare formulations. It inhibits skin pathogenic bacteria and reduces body odor caused by bacterial decomposition of sweat. It can also be used in oral care products such as toothpaste and mouthwash to suppress plaque bacteria and relieve gingival problems, complying with regional cosmetic regulatory concentration limits.Household grade triclosan serves as biocide for laundry detergent, fabric softener and household disinfectant. It provides antibacterial and deodorizing function on textiles and hard surfaces, inhibits odor-causing microorganisms and delivers long-lasting antibacterial effect.
Industrial grade triclosan is applied in textile antimicrobial finishing, leather preservation and water-based coating biocide. It prevents microbial spoilage, mold growth and odor generation for industrial materials and substrates.
