Sodium Ferrocyanide, also named Sodium Hexacyanoferrate(II), Yellow Prussiate of Soda. The commercial commodity is normally decahydrate crystal C6FeN6.4Na.10H2O. It is a stable inorganic coordination complex. Cyanide groups are tightly coordinated with iron ions, so it does not easily release free cyanide under normal conditions. Widely known as food additive E535, it serves as anti-caking agent for edible salt, also applied in pigment manufacturing, metallurgy, electroplating and chemical synthesis fields.
