Usage
Used in the production of phenylphosphonic acid and dimethyl phenylphosphonic acid. This product is dehydrochlorinated and condensed with hydroquinone to generate flame-retardant phosphorus-containing polymer and used as a heat stabilizer for polyester; reacts with octanol in the presence of pyridine to generate octyl phenylphosphonate, which can be used as low volatility Plasticizer.
