Dodecanedioic acid, also known as dodecandioic acid or lauric acid, is a long-chain aliphatic dicarboxylic acid with the chemical formula C₁₂H₂₂O₄ and a molecular weight of 230.30. Its structural formula is HOOC(CH₂)₁₀COOH. At room temperature, it appears as white powdered or flaky crystals, with a melting point of approximately 128–131°C, and is soluble in organic solvents such as ethanol.
Application
