Basic Information

Dichloromethane is a low‑boiling chlorinated aliphatic solvent. Colorless volatile liquid with mild sweet odour. It is widely‑used polar solvent for industrial processing, extraction and paint stripping. It is not easily flammable under normal conditions.

Storage & Transportation

‑ Transportation: Dangerous goods, UN 1593, Class 6.1. Transport in accordance with IMDG / IATA regulations. Keep away from heat source. Avoid direct sunlight. Do not transport together with strong oxidants and strong alkali. Prevent drum leakage.

‑ Storage: Store in cool, dry and well‑ventilated warehouse. Keep container tightly closed. Temperature controlled below 30 ℃. Separated from oxidizing agents, alkalis.

‑ Shelf‑life: 12 months under original sealed packaging.

‑ Handling reminder: Operate under good ventilation; wear chemical‑resistant gloves, safety goggles and organic‑vapour respirator. Avoid inhalation of vapour.
