Use & Application
Cosmetic grade cetyl alcohol is widely used in creams, body lotions, hair conditioners, shampoos and lip care products. It thickens formulations, stabilizes emulsions, softens skin and hair, and improves the spreadability of skincare products. It is a classic non-irritating raw material for cosmetic emulsifying systems.
Pharma grade cetyl alcohol is applied as ointment base and emulsifying aid for topical medicinal preparations. It adjusts the viscosity of medicated ointments and creams, enhances texture uniformity and maintains formulation stability during shelf storage.
Industrial grade cetyl alcohol serves as the starting material for manufacturing surfactants, plasticizers, textile lubricants and defoaming agents. It can also be used in the production of fatty alcohol ethoxylates and chemical intermediates.
