Gallic acid food & pharma grade extracted from nutgalls
Gallic acid is white or grey white crystalline powder, losing crystal water at 100° C. Soluble in acetone, ethyl acetate, 85-share water, 6-share ethanol, 2-share boiling water, slightly soluble in cold water, insoluble in benzene. Producing black blue color when reaction with ferric trichloride.
